Please Note: This feature is not available in some ZPORTAL systems.
Your library may make this feature available to some users. If available, it allows you to create a 'portlet' (search box) that can be inserted into other web applications. This permits you to search ZPORTAL from within the other web application.
When you click the Build Search Box button it guides you through the steps in creating the portlet:
deciding how the portlet will be labelled
selecting one or more search profile(s)
testing the portlet
As the final step in building the portlet, ZPORTAL will display the HTML code for insertion into the other application.
The HTML code begins with:
<!-- Begin ZPORTAL Search Portlet -->
and ends with:
<!-- End ZPORTAL Search Portlet -->
Copy the entire block of HTML using your usual select and copy facility and insert it into the destination application. Copy the code all the way up to and including 'End ZPORTAL Search Portlet'.
